Using a wiki requires that we follow online etiquette:

  • Respect what others have written on the wiki.
  • You can add or revise on your own page only.
  • Use correct spelling and grammar on the wiki. Remember: what goes up on the wiki is there for the world to see. This is published writing, not draft.
  • Use appropriate language. Do not use any language that could be interpreted as disrespectful to others.
  • Any factual information must be accurate.
  • Cite your sources.

Wikis also require some specific Rules:

  • Usernames and Passwords: Students will be provided usernames and passwords to access this Wiki. These should be kept private, and should NOT be changed.
  • Communication: If and when I decide it would be appropriate for students to discuss topics related to the unit on the Wiki, all communication needs to be done through the discussion tab, NOT the email.
  • Tracking Changes: The Wiki is set up so that the administrator (Mr. Beeton), can track everything you add or remove from the Wiki. Please follow the rules listed above.
